Last night, I went to see Take That. (They were and are a British boyband pop sensation, for those of you who don't know.)
I wasn't particularly excited; I mostly went because it had a sort of big event feel about it, and my friends could get me a ticket. It was amazing. Even the new, imo awful stuff sounded much better live. And Robbie Williams totally has my heart. Before we went in, I was like, "He's totally lost it. Gary is far superior." And it's not that Gary probably isn't the better singer. It's just that Robbie live has a certain magic that he definitely hasn't lost. At times it felt like the Robbie supported by Take That show. My 14-yo crush is apparently alive and well.
I'm sort of hopeful they are all friends again, and it's not just a stunt to make them piles and piles of cash. Either way, though, surely there is Robbie/Gary fic, covering their 20 year un requited love/hate/love again relationship? It must be so.
Maybe they could get married in New York. <3 <3 <3 <3
