Heading out to case the promise land

This was just going to be the post I put here so that my journal had something in it. And really, that's pretty much all it is. But now I also want to say, dude, I am already kind of thrilled by Dreamwidth and its awesome. It took me a little bit of head scratching to figure out the subscribe/access thing, but keeping up with people on LJ even here? That is pretty cool. I am, admittedly, not entirely sure how that works, either, but that is only because I haven't read anything. I've just been like, "Ooh, ticky boxes! I can has them." At some point today, I will investigate this whole thing properly, but I definitely get the sense that the functionality and usability are going to make me happy.

I will find this out after I get back from lunch. Which, actually, I see I am in danger of being kind of late for if I don't go shower now. People, always constraining me with their crazy expectations of my punctuality.
